Every October, people all over the world show their support for everyone affected by breast cancer.
Breast cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer for South Africans, with 1 in 25 having a lifetime risk.
Remember that Breast diseases also affect men. So, have yourself checked and learn to recognise warning signs, as early detection improves the chances of successful treatment.
In support of breast cancer awareness, the Hermanus, Hawston and Mount Pleasant Libraries embraced the pink ribbon and the colour pink in their displays.
The displays share valuable information on breast cancer.
Special thanks to Norma Molyneus, a cancer survivor, who visited the Hermanus Library to share her story.
